Fandom: Final Fantasy XV
Pairing: Luna/Noct
Word count: 3,978
Summary: Ignis sighed “I’ve been attached to him since he was six years old, and somehow chaperoning his elopement was something I never conceived of.”
“You know,” Gladio said with a wide smile, “you really should have.”
This was my assignment fic! I had such a good time writing it! I've played this game like five times and I'll probably play it another five times without hesitation and this was a perfect little nothing bad ever happened fluffy little piece to write. I adore these characters and was really lucky get it for an assignment.
Title: lay me down to sleep for
Fandom: Mass Effect Trilogy
Pairing: Kaidan/Male Shepard
Word count: 801
Summary: Kaidan takes certain measures to makes sure Shepard gets some rest.
I miss Mass Effect all the time and this prompt made me miss my space boyfriends and reminded me how much I love them and I really should write more fic about them and now I have and I'm so glad about it!
Title: there is one sin for
Fandom: Dishonored
Pairing: Corvo/Emily
Word count: 227
Summary: He wanted to say no, but not enough, not more than he wanted to give her anything she asked.
This was a surprise even to me! I didn't expect to feel anything for this ship but then a few days after assignments I was poking through letters and this one kind of jumped on me and didn't let me go because it rubs on a ton of guilty dubcon vibes I feel partial to (which also made it a bit of a struggle and is why it's so tiny), and eventually I just had to write it, and I'm massively pleased with the response!
Shout out to
Title: Looking to the Sky to Save Me by
Fandom: Final Fantasy XII
Relationship: Balthier & Fran
Word count: 1,910
Summary: She abandoned her home and so did he. Sometimes that's enough reason to rob a vault together.
My assigned gift! It has such a fun little well why shouldn't it be you kind of vibe, and kind of encapsulated the way they are...so different? but they work so seamlessly together? There were also little threads of detail about Fran adjusting to life outside the wood, and the way the city was both like and unlike it. I thought that was pretty incredible!
Title: Right Where You Are, That's Where I Am by
Fandom: Final Fantasy XII
Pairing: Ashe/Basch
Word count: 3,385
Summary: They both have their roles to play in the world. It might keep them apart, but it will never make them forget one another. And when they are together, even the silence is comforting.
Can you believe it! Two gifts from the same creator! Nearly five and a quarter k of words from one person! I feel a bit guilty having favourites, but this one would take it. It has so much of my favourite things! The pairing to start with - it's almost an unconventional enemies to friends (to lovers? Certainly in my head..) watching them grow closer throughout the game, from his assumed betrayal to coming to rely on him for counsel and support. And then the fic does such a great job of highlighting the way their respect for each other gives way to something more, the way they admire each other for their sense of duty and for just being a damn good person. And the little details that really brought the setting to life around them! ♥
Title: Running from Ghosts by
Fandom: Resident Evil
Relationship: Chris & Piers
Word count: 700
Summary: There are times when Chris doesn't know why he keeps going and there are times when he does.
The most surprise! A Resident Evil fill was probably the one I expected least of all and this is such a bittersweet, angsty little piece. I only know the games from watching them on youtube, but I loved the dynamics in RE6 and the way all the characters were there, and Chris and Piers… I just had so many feelings about Chris making peace and saying he wanted to retire, and then his very last scene where he just gets up to go back to work. This fic really nailed that vibe I get of him not being able to be finished.
Title: Overflow by
Fandom: Final Fantasy XII
Relationship: Balthier & Fran
Word count: 578
Summary: Where Fran and Balthier disappeared to after the Bahamut.
I always wondered! This is so sweet and perfectly in character, and could slide right into canon. And I have so many feelings about Balthier just not giving up on her. This isn’t one of those stories where the hero loses everything he loves. he says and I just love that so much. It's so him, and I adore this little fic.
