RDR2 Chapter 6

• Ah look, here we are, Arthur’s final chapter, and we’re bookending it with saving John again. I’m fine.

• Rescuing John with Sadie was fun, glad he’s back.

• I’m getting to that point of a game I always get to, no more side missions, I want to see the end (or at least, the first end ;___;) but I will definitely make an exception for Beau and Penelope. And that was definitely worth it.

• Wow. So now we’re deliberately ripping off Cornwall. Oh, Arthur, why are you going along with this madness :(

• Wow he just fucking shot him right there in the middle of town, although I have to admit Dutch had some good points in the reason you suck speech to Cornwall…

• Really enjoying helping Rains Falls, I love Arthur’s journal entry about him, and then there was hearing Arthur talking about having had a son ;___;

• And that mission where we rescue Captain Munroe and then we find sister what's her name and Arthur talks about his fate and says “I guess... I'm afraid.” *gross sobbing* I seen gifset of it six thousand times and I still wasn't ready

• Naturally I am not enjoying helping Micah, at all. I can’t believe that sonofabitch gets to boss me around around now. Another checkpoint skip here, I’m not sure what I was doing wrong maybe I wasn’t shooting fast enough idk? Anyway, we got Micah his dynamite.

• And then John and Arthur wire up a bridge and blow it up which is where he finally tells John that it’s time to give up and just leave, I...really loved this bit, I guess I’m sad now that we don’t get much time with John in the game really. I’m trying to remember how many times we get to do a mission with him. I rescue him twice, beginning of chapter one, beginning of chapter six, other than that it’s only the train job in chapter two, and this bridge job here? I guess there was the first section of Saint Denis where we went to rescue Jack.

• I forget which mission opened with Trelawny leaving and Arthur saying goodbye to him, that was really nice. I liked that guy.

• And seeing Colm finally hang - making sure of it even - was an absolute joy I’m not ashamed to say. No one to rescue you now, asshole, we made sure of it. Sure it ended up a bit of a mess but, well. Still good.

• Seeing Arthur’s coughing getting worse is still heartbreaking, and I’m only halfway through the chapter [lolsob]

• The mission to finish off the O’Driscolls kind of sucked, but I’m always glad to spend some time with Sadie.

• And the stealth mission to rescue Eagle flies with Charles was pretty awesome. Apart from John and Abigail I will miss Charles most of all. I hope he stays with the tribe and has a long and happy life.

• And it was nice to see that some others got wise and ran away too, and Tilly helped save Jack when Abigail was taken and. Of course, I knew that Dutch left John to die, and I knew that Micah was the rat, but I had no idea that it wasn’t true about what Molly said, coming back into camp drunk and raving that she had ratted them out to the Pinkertons, except she hadn’t, and Susan just shot her for nothing. And Abigail got the killing shot on Milton that was awesome, and the whole thing where he sent them away, goddamnit Arthur why couldn’t you have just run away with them too. And of course, I helped John get away instead of going back for the money, and… "I tried, in the end... I did." and at least he got to see the sun rise.

    Oh, Arthur.
